This community center is designed to increase interaction between the residents of the local community and nature. endeavor to obtain a sense of intimacy between humans and nature. My consistent design elements for this project are the spirals and curvatures. Spiral suggests the organic progress observed in nature, and it adds an element of movement and fluidity to the static form of a building with its stable foundation. The design of entrance, roofs, walls, windows, staircases showcase consistency in terms of the usage of materials and forms. I experimented with the ribbed shelf liner with its elasticity, blendability, and plasticity to achieve the organic structure of this architecture. Moreover, I want to emphasize movement and fluidity, endeavor to form a continuous line that create a logical sequential experience. There are three special moments in the lower level: the gathering place, the spiral bathroom, and the showroom. The circular design resembles a meandering stream; it features which provides flexibility between privacy and transparency. Individuals who follow the continuation of these walls eventually go to the upper aviary, leading by the spiral staircases, which allows for efficient usage of space. Then this continuous flow culminates in the aviary. The prototype for this aviary is the birds net. The second floor is an experimental attempt to create a fabric architecture.
